BEAUMONT: Teenager offers landscaping for authorities for Eagle Scout project

Eagle Scout tasks are designed to offer boys the experience of leadership and the duty of company, but Andy Zanforlin got a few additional lessons while upgrading the landscaping in front of the Beaumont Police Department.

The project was introduced to him by the previous cops chief, Frank Coe, who wanted the grass removed and replaced with materials such as decayed granite and mulch.
He wanted us to landscape the area to make sure it decreases the amount of water consumption, stated Andy, 16.

Andy understood the effort would likewise require installing some drought resistant plants to make the landscape appearance appealing. A drip watering system would also be needed.
